The recruitment season for this year has started in the engineering colleges around the country. It is more or less sure that IT companies will be the largest recruiters from engineering campuses for sure. People talk about IT jobs not being good but the alternative is yet to be seen. That is another discussion altogether, the job conundrum of the graduates in our country.
The recruitment pattern for most IT companies consists of a test, followed by an interview. Seldom do companies use group discussions these days. In most cases the largest eliminations happen in the test. Approximately 75% of job seekers are eliminated in the test on an average. The higher the status of the company the larger the elimination, one feels. This being the case it is very important for a job aspirant to be very prepared to face this “test”. The fact that many of the college students are not job aspirants poses an additional threat for the job aspirants as peer pressure is not to prepare rather than be prepared.
